Maurice Mosley Lansdale, 86, of Laurel passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Lynnwood Assisted Living in Laurel. She was born Friday, April 9, 1937.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

Maurice was affectionally called Reesie by those who knew and loved her. Until her health failed, she was an active member for more than 50 years at the Kingdom Hall of Laurel as a Jehovah witness.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Herbert Lansdale Jr.; son Michael Shane Lansdale; father Ardis Cleveland Mosley; mother Bertha Steverson Keown; brother Cleveland Bryant "Bill" Mosley; step-father Fred Keown; and brother-in-law Charlie Huitt.

Survivors include her son Jimmy Lansdale (Elizabeth) of Laurel; brother John Mosley (Charlotte) of Laurel; sisters Carol Huitt of Moore, S.C., and Annie Bryant (Howard) of Ellisville; and sister-in-law Margaret Mosley of Jackson.
