She also provides a couture service where customers can have pieces re-made or altered. For those who want a one-of-a-kind piece, Wu takes orders for custom-designed gowns. Tiare Boutique
53 Staunton St, tel: 2540 3380 Fans of stylish casual wear will love this boutique that carries a range of women's clothes from Los Angeles brands such as Michael Stars, Da-nang, Velvet, Vince, ABS and Raven Denim. If you're looking for great basics with a twist, this is definitely a shop to check out.
Crochet
36B Staunton St, tel: 2546 0552 Resembling an old-fashioned boudoir, this feminine boutique stocks a mixture of vintage and new clothing, accessories and jewellery. I've found vintage clutches made from tapestry or faded leather and there is a plentiful selection of vintage jewellery pieces that make unique gifts. Also, be sure to look at its selection of vintage cocktail dresses if you're looking for something unique.
Meraviglioso
25 Staunton St, tel: 2523 3866 This may be another one of those shops that carries brands I've never even heard of, but I've found some cute print dresses there. If you aren't a label snob, then I would recommend checking this boutique out because you can pick up day dresses in fun prints and patterns. And they won't cost you an arm and a leg, either.
Capuccini
34D, Staunton St, tel: 2540 3101 If you're on the prowl for separates and quirky accessories, be sure to take a look in this shop. Some of the apparel is a little too cute for my taste, but I've also found some really nice pieces such as printed tunics and blouses that are fun and colourful.
